Developing Connections

After looking at areas of marketing and design which interest me, and creating a morphological analysis to see what connections could be made between the two areas I was interested in, I decided upon the following areas to look further into:
-       Use of tactile touch in consumer products/ marketing of brands
-       Sensory experience- people with disabilities
-       Use example of supermarkets and taste testings to further look into idea or touch/body in marketing brands and customer relationships
-       Tactile touch to indicate that people consume too much/ or to encourage people to consume less
-       Relationships with brands
-       Providing a more intimate experience
-       Using resources more sustainably
-       Researching/ profiling segments through tactile touch

Initial Ideas----Connections

After studying design and marketing together for four years, connections have become a lot more obvious, and the relationship between the two has continued to be of importance in the success of business's wishing to engage with and develop relationships with their consumers. Its a competitive industry and having loyal consumers can be key to be a well-know and reputable brand.
To identify a connection that would I felt would have potential to be further investigated for the rest of the semester I looked into areas of both disciplines that most interested me.
